Weymouth Woods-Sandhills Nature Preserve

State Natural Area - North Carolina, United States

This 930-acre preserve protects one of the last remaining old-growth longleaf pine forests in the Sandhills region, including the oldest known longleaf pine on record at 458 years old. Habitat for rare red-cockaded woodpecker.
