Ahihi-Kinau

Natural Area Reserve - Hawaii, United States

Hawaii's first Natural Area Reserve, protecting coastal lava fields from Haleakala's last eruption 200-500 years ago. The only NAR with a marine component features excellent snorkeling with 33 coral species and 75 fish species. Anchialine ponds dot the stark landscape.
