Wilderness Area - Nova Scotia, Canada
Kluscap Wilderness Area protects 2,777 hectares of the northern part of Kluscap ("Kellys") Mountain in Victoria County, located between St. Anns Bay and Great Bras d'Or. The mountain is sacred to the Mi'kmaq people and associated with the prophet Kluscap. The area features steep forested slopes rising to a plateau exceeding 300 meters, cobble beaches, coastal cliffs, caves, and barachois ponds extending nearly 6 km along St. Anns Bay. Diverse ecosystems include ravines with white pine and hemlock, coastal slopes with black spruce, and windswept plateaus with wetlands.
