Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument protects the biological diversity of the convergence zone where the Cascade Range, Siskiyou Mountains, and Great Basin ecoregions meet. The monument contains one of the most diverse ecosystems in the Pacific Northwest, supporting rare plants, old-growth forests, and critical wildlife habitat.
