National Park - South Australia, Australia
Comprising some of South Australia's most rugged country in the Flinders Ranges, this 1,257 square kilometre park is jointly managed with the Adnyamathanha people. Deep gorges, towering mountains, ancient river red gums, and unique freshwater springs create dramatic contrasts. The park protects endangered yellow-footed rock-wallabies and rare plants, while 800-million-year-old rocks exposed along walking trails contribute to the Flinders Ranges' UNESCO World Heritage nomination. Lake Frome's ephemeral salt flat stretches 100km along the park's eastern boundary.
