Ouachita

National Forest - Arkansas, United States

The oldest and largest National Forest in the South, Ouachita National Forest spans 1.8 million acres across Arkansas and Oklahoma. The unique east-west oriented mountain ranges feature diverse ecosystems, six wilderness areas, and the Ouachita National Recreation Trail. Originally established as Arkansas National Forest by Theodore Roosevelt in 1907.
