Provincial Park - Alberta, Canada
Alberta's newest provincial park, designated January 24, 2024, protects over 1,000 hectares of Canada's northernmost badlands. The park features a unique mosaic of native grasslands, aspen woods, eroded badlands, and Peace River Parkland - a natural subregion found only in northwestern Alberta. The area has significant Indigenous cultural importance and contains fossil deposits. Previously included Kleskun Hill Natural Area (designated 1979) and lands acquired from a private bison ranch in 2018.
