Peter Lougheed Provincial Park

Provincial Park - Alberta, Canada

One of Alberta's largest provincial parks covering 304 km² in Kananaskis Country. Originally named Kananaskis Provincial Park, officially dedicated 1978, renamed 1986 to honour Premier Peter Lougheed. Offers extensive recreation including camping, fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and skiing. Located in Kananaskis Improvement District, 135 km west of Calgary.
