Forest Park - Leinster, Ireland
252-hectare (623-acre) arboretum on the Hook Peninsula, 12km south of New Ross. Established in 1968 by Irish-Americans as a living memorial to President Kennedy. Contains over 5,000 varieties of trees and shrubs in 200 forest plots grouped by continent, including 750 rhododendrons, azaleas, and heathers. Rises from 36m to 271m at Sliabh Coillte summit with panoramic views. Managed by National Botanic Gardens of Ireland and Office of Public Works.
