About Khawr Awqad
Khawr Awqad is a small coastal lagoon (about 16 hectares) on the outskirts of old Awqad near Salalah. Protected among the Salalah coast khawr reserves, it is a year-round nesting and feeding site for egrets, herons and other waterbirds, included for its significance as a key urban bird habitat.
