About Khawr Taqah

Khawr Taqah is a roughly 2 km² coastal lagoon at the western entrance of Taqah town in Dhofar. Protected under Royal Decree 49/97, its mix of freshwater and saline vegetation supports abundant marine life and migratory and resident birds, making it a noted birdwatching site.
