About Khawrs of the Dhofar Coast
The Khawrs of the Dhofar Coast comprise eight coastal lagoon nature reserves along the Salalah coast including Khawr Rori, Khawr Al Baleed, Khawr Sawli, Khawr Al Maghsayl, and others. These estuarine lagoons support important bird populations and are influenced by the annual khareef monsoon season.
