Al Dhahirah Nature Reserve was established by Royal Decree in 2024 as part of a trio of new reserves in the Western Hajar Mountains.

Al Dhahirah Nature Reserve was established by Royal Decree in 2024 as part of a trio of new reserves in the Western Hajar Mountains. It protects mountainous ecosystems, wildlife corridors for Arabian ibex and gazelle, and serves as an important water catchment area.
