About Sarangani Bay
Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape spans the coastal and marine waters off General Santos City and the towns of Sarangani province. It harbors coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, sea turtles, dugongs, and whale sharks, and supports the region's major tuna fishery. Declared a protected seascape by Proclamation 756 in 1996 and reaffirmed under the E-NIPAS Act.
