About Kenyir

Kenyir State Park (originally gazetted as Lawit-Cenana State Park in 2018) protects 30,000 hectares of ancient dipterocarp rainforest around Tasik Kenyir in Hulu Terengganu. Managed by the Terengganu State Parks Management Council, it shelters Malayan tigers, tapirs, elephants, sun bears, and nine of Malaysia’s ten hornbill species, and forms part of the Kenyir National Geopark.
