About Ampang

A lowland dipterocarp water-catchment forest reserve in the Hulu Langat foothills east of Kuala Lumpur, protected since colonial times as an intake point for the city water supply. Its protected forest underpins the Ampang and Klang Valley catchments, and the Ampang Forest Eco Park offers public trails and recreation areas.
