About Salim Ali
Salim Ali National Park, also known as City Forest National Park, occupies wetland and woodland in the Zabarwan foothills on the outskirts of Srinagar. Named for the pioneering Indian ornithologist Salim Ali, it was created as a refuge for migratory waterfowl and resident Himalayan birdlife, though much of it has since fallen into disuse.
