About McInnis Canyons
McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area spans the Colorado-Utah border west of Grand Junction, protecting redrock canyons, the Black Ridge Canyons Wilderness, and one of the highest concentrations of natural arches in North America. The Colorado River corridor and dinosaur fossil sites draw hikers, rafters, and mountain bikers. Originally designated Colorado Canyons NCA in 2000 and renamed in 2004, it is managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
