About Marianas Trench Trench Unit
The Trench Unit (Mariana Trench National Wildlife Refuge) protects the submerged lands of the Mariana Trench, the deepest place on Earth, including the Sirena Deep and adjacent Challenger Deep. It extends along the U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone from the CNMI to Guam and is managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
