About Arnavon Islands
The first nationally declared protected area in the Solomon Islands, a marine park covering reefs, lagoons and sand cays in Manning Strait between Isabel and Choiseul. Co-managed by the Ministry of Environment, Isabel Province and local communities; a critical hawksbill turtle nesting site. Established as a community conservation area in 1995 and declared a national marine park in 2017.
