About Olango Island

Olango Island Wildlife Sanctuary protects extensive intertidal mudflats and mangroves off Cebu and is the Philippines' first Ramsar Wetland of International Importance. The tidal flats are a critical stopover on the East Asian–Australasian Flyway, hosting tens of thousands of migratory shorebirds each year.
