About Ras al Hadd Turtle
Ras al Hadd Turtle Reserve extends 45 km along the coast from Khaur Jarama to Ras Ruwais, protecting some of the most important green turtle nesting beaches in the world. Each year between 6,000 and 13,000 turtles nest on the steep sandy beaches, arriving from across the Arabian Gulf, Red Sea, and East African coast.
