About Shwesettaw

A protected dry-zone wildlife sanctuary of mixed deciduous forest spanning Minbu, Pwintphyu, Sidoktaya and Ngape townships, established to conserve the Mone and Mann creek watersheds. It holds Myanmar's largest population of the endemic Eld's deer (thamin, or golden deer) and is recognised as an Important Bird Area.
