A lowland wildlife sanctuary in Kayin State established in 1928 to protect one of Myanmar’s last Javan rhinoceros populations. Its flat terrain (20–260 m) is covered in mixed deciduous teak and ironwood forest, home to hog deer, mouse-deer, serow and diverse birdlife.
