About Temengor

A vast permanent forest reserve in northern Perak forming the southern half of the Belum-Temengor forest complex, managed by the Perak State Forestry Department. Centred on the man-made Tasik Temenggor lake and its hundreds of islands, it shelters tigers, elephants and all ten Malaysian hornbill species, with boat tours and recreation from Gerik.
