About Surinsar-Mansar

Surinsar-Mansar Wildlife Sanctuary protects the forested catchments around the twin Surinsar and Mansar lakes in the Jammu and Samba districts. The lakes are a designated Ramsar wetland of international importance, and the surrounding sub-tropical scrub forest harbours leopard, sambar, and rich migratory waterfowl.
