A vast high-altitude wildlife sanctuary, also known as the Nubra Shyok Sanctuary, in the easternmost reaches of the Karakoram range in Leh district, Ladakh. Its cold-desert glaciers, gorges and alpine meadows shelter snow leopard, Tibetan antelope and a major Central Asian Flyway bird passage.
