About Yili Fraxinus Sogdiana

Protecting the only remaining population of the "living fossil" Tianshan ash tree in Central Asia, this reserve is located where the Kashi River meets the Ili River in Yining County. The Fraxinus sogdiana is a Class II nationally protected plant found nowhere else in the world.
