About Xianghai

Xianghai is a vast wetland and grassland reserve on the Horqin steppe, protecting critical breeding and stopover habitat for red-crowned cranes, white cranes, and other migratory waterbirds. The reserve encompasses lakes, marshes, sandy grasslands, and reed beds at the confluence of the Huolin and Taoer rivers.
