About Taxkorgan

Located in westernmost China at the junction of the Pamir, Karakoram, and Kunlun mountain ranges, Taxkorgan protects high-altitude ecosystems bordering Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Pakistan. Over half the reserve lies above 4,500 meters, providing habitat for Marco Polo sheep and snow leopards.
