About Riwoqe Red Deer

Established to protect the Tibetan red deer (Cervus elaphus macneilli), a subspecies under second-class national protection. Located in the Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains of Riwoqe County, the reserve has helped the red deer population recover to over 8,000 individuals.
