Located 8 km northwest of Tofield, this natural area represents the Parkland Natural Region, a transitional zone between grasslands and boreal forest. The region is characterized by aspen woodlands interspersed with fescue grasslands, shrublands, and abundant wetlands that form part of North America's globally significant duck factory for waterfowl breeding.
