About Buck Lake Creek

Buck Lake Creek Natural Area features a creek with steep terraced embankment and diverse habitats including black spruce-Labrador tea peatland, mature aspen forests with balsam poplar and white spruce, lodgepole pine-white spruce stands, young aspen regeneration, and silver-berry shrublands. The area spans two boreal forest zones: Dry Mixedwood and Central Mixedwood.
