Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, Vietnam's first UNESCO Man-and-Biosphere Reserve, is a restored coastal mangrove forest covering most of Ho Chi Minh City's Can Gio district. It shields the city from storms and is home to long-tailed macaques, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife, with boardwalk trails and Monkey Island.
