About King Range
The nation's first National Conservation Area, King Range protects roughly 68,000 acres of rugged mountains rising abruptly from 35 miles of undeveloped California north coast known as the Lost Coast. Managed by the Bureau of Land Management, it includes the King Range Wilderness and offers backpacking, the Lost Coast Trail, tidepooling, and wildlife viewing.
