Cosumnes River Preserve safeguards over 50,000 acres of valley oak riparian forest, freshwater wetlands, and grasslands along one of California's last free-flowing rivers. Co-managed by the Bureau of Land Management with The Nature Conservancy, state agencies, and Ducks Unlimited, it is a major Pacific Flyway stop offering a visitor center, boardwalks, and birdwatching near Galt.
