About Upper Marikina River Basin

The Upper Marikina River Basin Protected Landscape covers the upper drainage basin of the Marikina River across five municipalities in Rizal. Originally a watershed reservation safeguarding Manila's water supply, it protects forested Sierra Madre foothills that feed the Montalban and Tayabasan rivers.
