About Nanthar Island and Mayyu Estuary
A coastal marine national park of estuarine and shallow marine waters, rocky shores, and mangrove forest on Myanmar’s western coast. It is a breeding ground for green, olive ridley, and leatherback sea turtles and the Ayeyarwady dolphin, hosts the Critically Endangered spoon-billed sandpiper, and is Myanmar’s sixth Ramsar Site.
