About Perlis

Perlis State Park (Taman Negeri Perlis), at Wang Kelian on the Thai border, was the first state park established on Peninsular Malaysia. Spanning the Nakawan Range limestone hills, it comprises the Mata Ayer, Wang Mu, Bukit Bintang, and Kurong Batang Forest Reserves and protects Malaysia’s only semi-deciduous forest, cave systems (Gua Kelam, Gua Wang Burma), and wildlife including the stump-tailed macaque and white-handed gibbon.
