About Xe Sap
A national park in the Annamite Mountains of southeastern Laos straddling Sekong and Salavan provinces, with its montane core and eastern Vietnam-border blocks lying in Sekong (Dakchung and Kaleum districts). Part of the Annamite moist-forest ecoregion, it shelters the critically endangered saola and high levels of endemism. Established as a protected area in 1996 and upgraded to national park status in 2024.
