About Phou Sithone

Phou Sithone protects rugged dry-evergreen forest in the northern Annamite Mountains of eastern Bolikhamxay. Established after the 2010 capture of a saola, it is a stronghold for some of Indochina’s rarest mammals including saola, large-antlered muntjac, Asian elephant and crested gibbon.
