About Burqu

Burqu Nature Reserve is Jordan's northeasternmost protected area, centered on the ancient Qasr Burqu fortress and a seasonal lake. The vast desert reserve protects basalt landscape and desert steppe habitat critical for migratory birds and endangered species.
