A protected wetland bird sanctuary on the Puducherry portion of Ousteri (Oussudu) Lake, the largest lake in the union territory. It is the first and only wildlife sanctuary in Puducherry, recognized as an Important Bird Area hosting around 200 bird species, including many winter migrants.
