A large protected area in northern Goa's Sattari taluka, forming part of the Western Ghats tiger corridor linking Goa with Karnataka and Maharashtra. It shelters tigers, leopards, gaur, and the Mhadei (Mandovi) river headwaters, and has been proposed as Goa's first tiger reserve.
