The Christmas Island Marine Park is a large Australian Marine Park declared in 2022, extending from the island's shoreline out to the Exclusive Economic Zone limit. Its offshore National Park Zone protects steep submarine drop-offs, deep coral communities, whale sharks, and seabird foraging grounds. Managed by the Director of National Parks.
