About White Butterfly Shell

Marine nature reserve in the shallow waters off northern Lingao County and Danzhou, protecting the endangered white-lipped pearl oyster (Pinctada maxima) and its associated coral reef ecosystem. Adjusted to 343 km2 by the Hainan provincial government in 2012.
