About Medicine Lodge Hills

Contains a large hill with steep slope to the east and gentler slopes to the north, south and west. Features primarily aspen and paper birch with young spruce, providing important ungulate habitat. Contains old-growth forest components. The hills were first documented on an 1859 map by cartographer John Arrowsmith and were described as a favourite site for First Nation spring festivals.
