About Hargrave Coulees
Located 80 km northeast of Medicine Hat on the South Saskatchewan River, this natural area protects spectacular badlands with coulees, ravines, and incised valleys draining into the river valley. The site is home to 1,100 native prairie species including numerous springs with rare plant communities, 13 federal Species at Risk, and 78 provincially listed at-risk species.
