About Stung Treng

The Stung Treng Ramsar Site protects a 40 km braided stretch of the Mekong River north of Stung Treng town, designated in 1999. Its flooded forests, deep pools, and rapids are critical fish spawning habitat and shelter Irrawaddy dolphins and the Mekong giant catfish.
