About Cardamoms
Cardamoms National Park is Cambodia's largest protected area, formed in 2023 by merging the former Central Cardamom Mountains National Park (1999/2016) and Southern Cardamom National Park (2016) into a single ~926,000-hectare park. It protects vast tracts of evergreen rainforest in the Cardamom Mountains, harboring Asian elephants, sun bears, pileated gibbons, and one of Southeast Asia's most intact lowland forest ecosystems.
